[Announce] 28NOV Invitation: AEEC Software Reliability Metrics

Hello all:

The AEEC Executive Committee has formed a new working group to define Software Reliability Metrics for all types of avionics software; including traditional avionics, cabin systems, etc. Reinhard Andreae, Lufthansa German Airlines, will lead this activity.

You are invited to participate in a short kick-off meeting to be held Monday, November 28 at 0800PST / 1100EST / 1700CET. The call will talk about the purpose of the activity, the desired deliverables, and schedule.

Phase 1 of the activity is to investigate categories of software failures to monitor, define potential software quality metrics, and agree to the scope of the proposed standard. The output of the Phase 1 (Dec 2017) will be a report of the proposed metrics and recommendations as to how they might be captured. The attached statement of work (APIM 16-001) provides additional detail.
