[CDS] Update from the Virtual General Session

All-
I hope this finds you and yours well during these unusual times.
I just want to add my congratulations to all of you along with those of Sofyan and Brian for all of the very hard work which resulted in the approval today of Parts 1 and 2 of ARINC 661.
There was a lot of hard work from the members of this Subcommittee that went into these standards.  It could not have been done without the volunteer efforts of yours.
However, the new APIM for continued work on this project has temporarily been deferred for review by the SAI Subcommittee in June.  What this means for the A661 Subcommittee is that although there is no formal authorization to continue work, the AEEC Executive Committee saw no reason why the Subcommittee cannot proceed with its monthly meetings and continue work on Parts 1 and 2, with the expectation of APIM approval in October at the Mid-Term Session.
I want to thank Brian and Sofyan for their excellent presentation today at the General Session as well.
The AEEC Executive Committee was impressed by all the hard work that you on the A661 Subcommittee have done, as are the staff here at ARINC.
Finally, a reminder that there is a forward planning web meeting for the A661 Subcommittee on Tuesday, May 19th to start to map out the Subcommittee's continuing work.  If you haven't received the invitation for this meeting, please email me and let me know and I will send you the meeting information.
