[DLK] 02Nov2016: Invitation to joint DLK/FMS web conference

Dear Data Comm Specialist:

You are invited to participate in a joint DLK/FMS web conference to be held Wednesday, November 2 starting at 0800PDT / 1100EDT / 1600 European Winter Time.

For those attending the AEEC Datalink Systems Subcommittee meeting in Annapolis at the Hilton Garden Inn on that date, you will be able to participate from that venue.

Background: The AEEC has undertaken a significant update to ARINC Characteristic 702A, Advanced Flight Management System, to support NextGen and SESAR. Datalink is one of many topics under review by the FMS Subcommittee.
In particular, Section 4.3.7, ATS Datalink (formerly titled CNS/ATM Functions) is completely revised per the attached working paper.
The major section headings are as follows:
4.3.7.1 - Future Air Navigation System 1/A (FANS 1/A)
4.3.7.2 - Link 2000+
4.3.7.3 - ATN Baseline 2 (ATN B2)
With your support, new content will be added in Supplement 5 to ARINC Characteristic 702A.
