Hello All,

    Attached please find an ARINC Project Initiation/Modification (APIM) to reopen ARINC Specification 840: Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Application Control Interface (ACI) Standard.  This proposal arose from the joint presentation given by Lextech and FedEx at the EFB Users Forum in Honolulu last November.
   The purpose of this project is to update A840 to establish an open standard for application control and data sharing in the COTS tablet environment.  Please review the pdf and APIM, and consider whether your company would support this effort.  We will review these on the next EFB Subcommittee WebEx scheduled for Wednesday, February 8th. I look forward to speaking with you all then.
