Hello All,
   Preparations are now complete and the agenda has been finalized for the Rome EFB Users Forum next  week.   You may obtain your conference badge and register (if you have not already done so) beginning on Tuesday afternoon (November 11th) outside the Michelangelo ballroom.   You will receive two lunch vouchers along with your badge.  These will allow you purchase a sit down lunch on the Forum days for 26 Euro (VAT included) each day.   The lunch on Wednesday offers your choice of mixed sandwiches (ham and cheese, tuna and tomato, or vegetarian).  It will also include  Ciabatta bread with tomato and mozzarella cheese, Piadina bread rolls with vegetables, Baguette with Spianata Romana salame and egg, and Trofie Pasta with pesto and ricotta cheese.  In addition, assorted desserts, seasonal fresh fruit, mineral water, soft drinks and coffee are included as well.   The Thursday lunch has not yet been determined, but will be similar.
Like others before it, the Rome EXPO has also sold out, and it promises to be another  memorable event.  It will be held in the Michelangelo Ballroom B, and will open  from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, November 11th .  Our suppliers will showcase their latest products and services, with a featured Mediterranean standup buffet from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Please see the EXPO layout (attached) for a listing of exhibitors and their locations,  and be sure to stop by to see the latest offerings.
The Forum will be held in the Michelangelo Ballroom A.  Session topics will be Regulatory, Human Factors, Security and Connectivity, and Operator Experiences (attached).   The Human Factors and Operator Experiences sessions will both be split such that Part 1 of each will held on Wednesday, November 12th, with Part 2 of each held on Thursday, November 13th.    At the conclusion of Day One activities, AirWatch invites everyone to the Welcome Reception.  This will be the perfect way to relax, reconnect with old friends, and meet new ones.  You will not want to miss this event!  Day Two activities will conclude with a joint presentation by Southwest, Jeppesen, and Boeing regarding the recently published FAA Airworthiness Directive (AD) concerning WiFi use on the flight deck.  If you operate Boeing B737 or B777 aircraft, you cannot miss this presentation.
