Hello All,

   Attached please find the presentation given in last week's HRCS Strategy Group call, the HRCS JA6268 Database Worksheets, and the Letter of Intent.  The Worksheets are not yet finalized, but give you an idea of what is required to list an HRCS component in the database.
   As discussed on the call, the Letter of Intent (LOI) is the first step toward formation of a Health-Ready Components and Systems (HRCS) Consortium.  This will be followed soon by a formalized Membership Agreement which will specifically detail responsibilities, privileges, and benefits of membership in the consortium.
   We believe an SAE-ITC Consortium to be the best structure to lead development in this domain.  Until now, we have been trying to be specific and explicit with our proposals by making reasonable choices.  We see a window of opportunity to move proactively to speed IVHM implementation through the application of the JA6268 standard and ancillary protocols.   A single standard can help avoid proliferation of multiple different approaches which would be counterproductive.
   It is our intent that going forward, the members of the HRCS Consortium will determine which challenges to undertake and how best to accomplish them.  If action is taken now, industry standard practices, protocols, and standards can be implemented such that Suppliers, Integrators/OEMs, and Operators/Customers can all benefit with interoperable methods, improved performance feedback, and increased reliability with concomitant greater customer satisfaction- a "win-win-win."
   Please review the Letter of Intent with the appropriate personnel in your organization and return the signed document indicating your interest and support of this proposal by March 1, 2019.
