Dear IPS Subcommittee Participant:

Honeywell has updated the AEEC IPS SharePoint site with documents intended for discussion on Tuesday, July 28, starting at 0700PDT, 1000EDT, 1600CET. Due to size of these documents they cannot be circulated by email. See note from Mike Olive.

The purpose of the meeting is to review ARINC Project Paper 858: Internet Protocol for Aeronautical Safety Services - Technical Requirements. Specific attention will be placed on Attachment 4, Air-Ground IPS Management Messages, and Appendix C, Ground IPS Architecture.

The PP858d1-07 draft document is posted on the AEEC IPS SharePoint.  There has been good progress on the following sections, which I expect will be the primary topics for discussion during the Tuesday telecon:
*         Section 3.3.2.2, 3.3.2.2.x - New IPv6 addressing text provided by Aloke.
*         Section 3.3.6.1, 3.3.6.2 - Updates to the Multilink Decision Engine and Multilink and Mobility Signaling sections provided by Michal Skorepa.
*         Section 3.3.7 - Brand new text on the External Comm manager provided by Luc, Stephane P., and Madhu.  This section also contains numerous comments from the authors themselves since additional work is necessary to complete this section.

In addition, there's been good progress by Collins on Attachment 4, IPS Management Messages, and by Airtel on Appendix C, IPS Gateway.  I plan to review this status and the go-forward plan for these sections during the telecon as well.  Given the size of these sections and the scope of the comments/changes, the updates are being managed in excerpted files.  I have also uploaded the current versions of these files to the SharePoint with the filenames:

Thanks for distributing this information to the AEEC IPS participants.  I apologize that I wasn't able to get this out sooner, but I received a lot of the updates on Friday afternoon.
