Dear Ku-Band and Ka-Band Satellite Communications experts,

As you may know, the next AEEC KSAT Subcommittee meeting is scheduled for next week, June 13-15, 2023 at the ARINC IA/SAE ITC facility in Bowie, Maryland.

During the meeting, ONLY ARINC 791 KSAT systems will be discussed/developed, specifically:

  *   Supplement 2 to ARINC Characteristic 791: Mark I Aviation Ku-Band and Ka-Band Satellite Communication Systems, Part 2, Electrical Interfaces and Functional
     *   Functionally aligned by interfaces

and

  *   Project Paper 791: Mark I Aviation Ku-Band and Ka-Band Satellite Communication System, Part 3, Network
     *   Security
     *   Quality of Service
     *   Intersystem communication protocols
Due to the urgency in developing mature drafts of ARINC 791 Part 2 and 3 by August 2023, there will be NO Time for ARINC 792 (Second Generation KSAT Systems), or ARINC 793 (next Generation Fiber Optic KSAT System) discussions at this meeting!
There will NOT BE a Fiber Optic Session.
