FMS Working Group:

You are invited to attend Flight Management System (FMS) web conference to be held Wednesday, August 6 starting at 0800PDT, 1100EDT, 1700CET.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider NextGen and SESAR airspace initiatives, long-term evolution of the FMS and functional definitions within ARINC Characteristic 702A. The GE Aviation input is attached for your review.

Short-term initiatives are well in hand. Supplement 4 to ARINC 702A will define Winds Temperature Uplinks in 2014. That work is technically complete, with mature draft is coming soon. The Aug 6 meeting will look beyond the agreed changes and focus on the future.
