Dear CDS Specialist:

Airbus has proposed the expansion of ARINC Specification 661, Cockpit Display System Interfaces, into a two-part document, with the existing ARINC 661 (Part 1) on its current path, and the development of a new (Part 2) document defining a User Interface Markup Language for Graphical User Interfaces. This topic has been presented and discussed at CDS Subcommittee meetings.

The attached APIM 08-004B proposing this activity will be presented to the AEEC Executive Committee at the AEEC Mid-Term Session to be held September 23-24 in Seattle, Washington.

Thank you for your continuing support of ARINC Standards development.

Best regards,
Paul
