[SAI] IPv6 activity within the AEEC

Dear Networking Specialist,

Airbus has proposed a new AEEC activity to define how IPv6 will be used on aircraft. The first step is to prepare a roadmap document describing how IPv6 will be introduced, the challenges, the deliverables, etc.

APIM 17-001 was presented to the SAI Subcommittee on October 11-12 in Toulouse and distributed to those in attendance. Due to the widespread interest in this topic, the following steps will be taken to better coordinate this APIM:

1) SAI review in Toulouse (Oct 11-12, completed)
2) NIS Subcommittee review in Portland (Nov 15-17)
3) IPS Subcommittee review in Los Angeles (Dec 6-8, TBC)
4) SAI final review prior to the AEEC General Session (May 2017)

If you are unable to attend the in-person meetings, feel free to send comments to my attention before December 15, 2016.
