[XPDR] 15 May: AEEC Global Aircraft Tracking

Dear SAI Subcommittee participant and other interested parties:

You are invited to attend the next Global Aircraft Tracking (GAT) Working Group web conference to be held Monday, May 15 starting at 0800PDT, 1100EDT, 1700CET. Chuck Adler of Boeing will lead the meeting and serve as Chairman of the Global Aircraft Tracking Working Group of the SAI Subcommittee.

Background: The AEEC Executive Committee approved APIMs 17-004 and 17-005 at the AEEC General Session in Milwaukee calling for ARINC Standards pertinent to Autonomous Distress Tracking (ADT) and Timely Recovery of Flight Data (TRFD).  These APIMs are attached for your information.

The draft ADT System Requirements Document is the first deliverable expected to emerge from the GAT Working Group. It is attached for your review and comment.

The first in-person GAT meeting is scheduled for June 15-16 in Denver, Colorado. The meeting will be collocated with SAI Subcommittee meeting. Both meetings are hosted by Panasonic in Denver.
