Dear Datacom Radio Specialist: (a joint AGCS, DLK, KSAT, IPS Subcommittee activity)

Honeywell has updated ARINC Project Paper 858, Internet Protocol Suite (IPS) Part 3, Common IPS Radio Interface (CIRI) protocol, intended for data transfer and radio status exchanged between radio modems operating in an airborne IPS network. This includes the functional description of the protocol, applicable use cases, protocol message formats, and protocol operation for both control plane and data plane exchanges.

Comments on this draft are invited. Those comments provided in writing before Monday, September 25, will be discussed at the next meeting.

Attached is the latest draft version of PP858 Part 3 (d0-06) for review during Meeting 24.  Both CLEAN and REDLINE versions are provided - the redlines show only the changes between the last version (d0-05) and this version.  These files are also posted on the AEEC IPS Teams site.
Airbus, Airtel, and Thales provided feedback on the prior versions.  Airtel provided their comments in the document, and Airbus and Thales provided comments using the comment form, which are attached with responses/dispositions.  These are on Teams as well.
Many thanks to the Honeywell-Brno team of Zdenek and Michal for their significant contributions to this document, and many thanks to the reviewers for their thoughtful feedback.
