Good day,

The AEEC Cabin Systems Subcommittee will meet next week.

On the agenda is the design selection of connectors intended for the ARINC Project Paper 854 LAN.

See below for the expected characteristics of the design selection process.

Process:

*         The selection of the PP854 connector type will be made based on a technical evaluation according to the process and the criteria defined in the ARINC800, Part 1, §3 and App. C (Connector Selection Score Card).
Scoring Factors:

*         Proposals for the scoring factors (Column "Importance" and "Applicability for Design") can be submitted to IA until May 10th 2018.

*         Each company can submit one proposal.

*         IA will analyze1 the proposals and publish the final scoring factors to the CSS members prior to the CSS May meeting.

Voting Process:

*         Each company participating in the voting process has one vote.

*         The completed score cards will be collected after the CSS May meeting. Score cards can be submitted to IA until June 4th 2018.

*         IA will analyze and publish the score card results to the CSS members.


Note1. The final "Importance" value is the arithmetical average value of all proposals rounded off to the tenth of a whole number (0.0 to 1.0)
The final "Applicability for Design" value is the arithmetical average value of all proposals rounded off to whole numbers (0 or 1)
