Hello All,

Excitement is building and EFB Users Forum XII is now just five weeks away. The session topics in Munich will be Regulatory, Security and Connectivity, Mobile Applications, and Operator Experiences. Fresh presentations will address own-ship position, aircraft security, airport moving map, cabin devices and applications, satcom and more. Southwest Airlines will also share their cockpit WiFi success story. Best of all, you can get answers from the experts on these subjects, or speak to them directly during the one of the coffee breaks.

The Main EXPO in Munich will take place on Tuesday, May 24th. It will begin at 2:00 PM and continue through 7:00 PM, and will include local specialties and an open bar from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Supplemental EXPO will take place during coffee breaks and lunch on Wednesday, May 25th. A total of 39 suppliers have already reserved exhibit space, and only a few booths remain. If you are planning to exhibit in Munich but have not yet made your reservation, please contact Lori Hess soon at lorine.hess at sae-itc.org<mailto:lorine.hess at sae-itc.org> or risk being closed out.

The Forum begins on Wednesday May 25th with our Regulatory session, where you will hear the latest developments on the AMC 20-25 and upcoming AC 120-76D direct from the authorities. The afternoon session will be Security and Connectivity, where you will learn what is new in satcom broadband and how to keep it secure. The first day’s activities will culminate in the Hofbräuhaus Reception hosted by Lufthansa Systems. Your name tag will be your admission ticket, and everyone is invited. This extraordinary event is the perfect conclusion to the day, and it promises to be a very memorable experience. Please remember to check this activity when you register so that we can project an accurate headcount. You will not want to miss this event!

The Thursday morning May 25 session will be Mobil Applications, which will also include cabin applications for the first time. The afternoon session will be the ever popular Operator Experiences. You will hear from airlines which have never before presented, as well as learn all about Airport Moving Map. The Munich event will be packed full of industry leading speakers, and you can be assured that you will learn a great deal.

If you are planning to attend this Forum but have not yet preregistered with ARINC, please do as soon as possible using the this link:

One registration covers any and all activities, and it is essential to accomplish this irrespective of which events you actually attend. Those who do not preregister in advance will be required to do so at the door. The hotel room block sold out, was expanded twice, and now has only limited availability of rooms at the preferred rate. The reservation deadline has been extended until next Wednesday, May 27th. Thereafter, the preferred rate will not be available for any nights. If you are planning to stay at the Hilton Munich Park, you may reserve a room using the following link:

The Munich event is shaping up nicely. We will have a good venue, a unique reception, and great presentations. On behalf of the EFB Leadership Team and our hosts at Lufthansa Systems, we look forward to seeing you all there!

Best Regards,

                          Peter
