Hello All,

Anticipation is growing for EFB Users Forum XV. This conference will be held November 14-16, 2017 at the internationally renowned Suntec Singapore Convention Centre, hosted by Jeppesen. Located in the heart of Singapore's Central Business District, Suntec has the world's largest HD Video wall and has become a popular tourist destination in its own right.

Once inside, the excitement will continue for participants of this Forum. The lead off topic will be Regulatory. Jeppesen took the leadership role in own-ship position research, presentations, and meetings with the FAA advocating a change in policy. Due to their efforts, and many others from this Forum assisting them, the next revision of AC 120-76 will include own-ship position on EFB- a monumental change. The chief architect of this document at the FAA will be in Singapore to present this revision, expected to be published shortly before our conference. Other regulators from around the globe have taken notice, and several are evaluating similar changes in their regulations as well. In fact, the FAA was so pleased with this effort, that they have encouraged us to bring additional proposals for consideration. We will be happy to oblige! Do you want to know what we have planned next? Then join us in Singapore, help shape your industry, and make your voice heard!

The second session will be Security and Connectivity. Due to intense interest and development efforts in area, Connectivity has become a regular session topic at all recent Forums. At this event, you will hear from leading suppliers and providers in the field, including the aircraft manufacturers Boeing and Airbus themselves. You will learn about the latest advances, and just as importantly, how to keep these links secure.

One of the benefits of attending this conference is the network of knowledgeable professionals you will develop by participating. The third session will be Certification and Operational approval. We all know that the greatest EFB plan is of little use if you cannot get it approved and put into service. How do you get to that point? Learn from our experts and others who have accomplished it.

Session four is everyone's favorite- Operator Experiences. You will hear from a variety of airlines, learn about their programs and why they made the choices they did. They will share their expertise and special insights, and you will have the opportunity to get answers straight from the experts. Where else can you learn so much, in one place, directly from airlines that will share their knowledge with you?

Our suppliers are planning another memorable EXPO in Singapore on Tuesday, November 14th. It will begin earlier than in the past- opening at 12:00 PM and continuing to 5:00 PM. The standup buffet and open bar will run from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Be sure to stop by to see the latest products and service offerings - you will not be disappointed. The Supplemental EXPO will continue on Wednesday November 15th during coffee breaks and lunch. If you are planning to exhibit in Singapore but have not yet made your reservation, please contact Lori Hess as soon as possible at lorine.hess at sae-itc.org<mailto:lorine.hess at sae-itc.org>.

Following the EXPO on Tuesday evening, Jeppesen is planning a unique Welcome Reception for all registered Users Forum participants. This will be held at the incomparable Gardens by the Bay, Singapore's most popular destination. We will all gather at the Flower Field Hall at 6:30 PM for the Reception featuring a standup buffet with local specialties and drinks in warm relaxing environment. It is the perfect way to unwind and discuss the day's activities among friends and acquaintances while meeting new ones. Everyone is invited and we hope you will join us. You will not want to miss this one!

All attendees of the Forum must register to participate. This is most easily accomplished in advance by preregistering on-line. We encourage you to preregister, as this will save you considerable time and effort at the door in Singapore. It also helps us better plan layouts and order quantities. Preregistration ends on Monday, October 30th. After that date, you will need to register on-site. If you are planning to attend this Forum but have not yet preregistered with ARINC Industry Activities, please do so using the following link:
