The AEEC SharePoint site has been updated to included the latest draft of ARINC Project Paper 858. The draft captures all changes agreed during June 23, 24, 29 meetings. Many thanks to Mike Olive, Honeywell.

The PP858d1-06 draft document - both redline and clean versions - is posted on the AEEC IPS SharePoint.  The redline version shows all of the changes made during and after the meeting.  The clean version accepts all track changes and removes comments that were discussed/resolved during M14; comments that were not discussed, not resolved, or received after the meeting are still maintained in the document for further discussion.

The notable changes in this version are:
*             Section 4.3.1.3 - Per agreement during M14, this section is marked for removal (text is highlighted purple), but the text and associated comments are being kept in the 858 document until a suitable alternative standard is identified.
*             Section 4.4.1.x - Per agreement during M14, this section incorporates the changes proposed by Airbus (Timo) and reviewed during the meeting.
*             Section 4.4.3 - Editorial change: the material in this section was repetitive with Section 3.5.4, both of which address security configuration. To resolve, appropriate text from this section was integrated in Section 3.5.4 and Section 4.4.3 was removed.
*             Section 5.5 - New section and new material as of M14. The initial material was reviewed by a small group in parallel with M14, and the current draft reflects their comments/suggestions.
*             Appendix C - The appendix includes a note-to-the-reader that the material is undergoing reorganization and content revisions (i.e., Airtel's (Fryd) proposal in-progress).

With regard to releasing public DRAFT2, there are two options:
*             Use the current version, PP858d1-06_20200708 (post-M14 - CLEAN).docx.  For this option, it will be important to have DRAFT2 available in advance of the telecon scheduled for 28 July.
*             Wait for the version that results from the telecon scheduled for 28 July, which allows additional comments to be resolved.
Either option should allow sufficient time for review outside of AEEC IPS prior to the next scheduled meeting, which is the week of 24 Sep.
The attached PDF file provides an updated document assessment.  We made very good progress before, during, and after the subcommittee meeting.  I am still updating the action item list, which I will forward to you shortly, but I didn't want that to hold up releasing the document.
