In preparation for the October 20th AGCS Web Conference, where Supplement 1 to ARINC Characteristic 771 – Low-Earth Orbiting Aviation Satellite Communication Systems, will be further developed, I am including material submitted by Rainer Koll, Stellar Aerospace and FAA Consultant. It is associated to AGCS Subcommittee Action Item 154. For your convenience I have attached Rainer’s white paper proposal and the updated AGCS Subcommittee Action Item list.

…“In response to an action item from the AGCS Montreal meeting, I drafted the attached response with information for completion of the relevant sections in A771 and A781.

I contacted Iridium and Inmarsat, and requested updates to the cockpit safety data communication interface diagrams, including ATN/IPS for sections 3.2.2.x and 4.3.x.

User Interfaces: Darrell Andregg –  Rockwell Collins
Dual SDU: Johan Gericke /France Koroscil –  Cobham/Honeywell
ATN over OSI / ATN over IPS: David Robinson, Ann Heinke/Rainer Koll –  FAA/FAA Consultant
Security: Mike Hooper/Mathias Michalski – Iridium/Airbus (Might not have material to report prior to early November – Iridium to confirm)

Draft 3 of Supplement 1 to ARINC Characteristic 771 is in the AEEC AGCS Satcom SharePoint site, it is in the ARINA IA posting process.

Please highlight any inputs intended for draft 4
